The number of people who have a full-time and a part-time job at the same time increased 11% to 1.92 million in October from a year ago, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Sabrina Akins of Woodbridge, Va., has had to take out short-term "payday" loans to tide her over until her paychecks arrive.

It's not that Akins, whose ex-husband is disabled, isn't working or earning money. In fact, she has three jobs: a full-time day job as an administrative assistant for a government contracting firm, a part-time night and weekend job as a security guard at a department store, and another part-time job selling cosmetics for Avon.

Get a part time job: Simple and obvious. I have a 9-5. But I use to work part time 7pm-1:30am twice a week at $12 an hour to supplement my income.

My part time gig is an easy job. I am low man on the totem pole and have no reason to move up. I punch in, work, get paid, and leave.

That is all I want and that is all I do. If you are looking for a sure fire way to put extra cash into your wallet, a part time job is the way to go. A part time job is a great place for you to do something you actually enjoy.

Most people settle for their full time job because it pays the bills. A part time job, really go for something you enjoy! And since you are not worried about climbing the corporate ladder, you can actually enjoy it.
